This year’s “Károly Than Study Competition” was held at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry on May 8, 2026. The competition was announced for third- and fourth-year pharmacy students. This year, 21 third-year students and 5 fourth-year students participated in the competition.
The competition consisted of two rounds: following a written theoretical test, students had to complete a practical titrimetric task.
The evaluation was carried out according to the official competition guidelines, and the following results were achieved:
Third-Year Students’ Competition
1st place: Csenge Zoe Kiss, Nóra Helga Rapcsák, and Emmanuel Okello
2nd place: Karola Sigray, Eszter Stráz-Lukács, and Vladyslav Melnychenko
3rd place: Fruzsina Ottó and Nyein Soe May Pyae
Based on their results, Csenge Zoe Kiss, Nóra Helga Rapcsák, Emmanuel Okello, and Vladyslav Melnychenko are exempt from attending the Pharmaceutical Chemistry 2 colloquium and will receive an excellent final grade for the course.
Karola Sigray, Eszter Stráz-Lukács, Bence Lukács, and Nyein Soe May Pyae are exempt from completing the written preliminary test (“entry test”) of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry 2 colloquium.
Fourth-Year Students’ Competition
1st place: Kristóf Erát
2nd place: Ádám Lauer
3rd place: Fruzsina Szász
Based on their competition results, Kristóf Erát, Ádám Lauer, and Fruzsina Szász are exempt from the written preliminary test (“entry test”) of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry comprehensive examination and also received topic-selection benefits for the exam.
Participants Patrik Vékony and Péter Závodi are likewise exempt from the written preliminary part of the comprehensive examination.
The competitors were also rewarded with bookstore vouchers.
