Support in the exam period – look for the Peers!

19 December 2022

Students of the Pécs Medical School can count on the support of the Peer Program in the 2022/2023 winter exam period as well. Be it about useful study tips or best practices, or emotional support – the Peers are ready to help in the coming weeks too.

The Peer Program was created at the UPMS and UPFP in 2019, aiming to help acclimatisation of new students, and students already here. Peers are higher year students who use their everyday and university experiences to help other students by giving them advice, guidance or just a friendly chat. They do their volunteer work with honest attention and careful consideration, helping to form the student communities of both faculties.

In the exam period, when students are heavily reminded about learning challenges, the advice of Peers might be needed even more. Do you have problems with life management? Need some learning methodology tips? Would some study support materials be useful? What tricks can you use for better time management? Or do you just need someone to talk to? The Peers are ready to help, if you feel like you cannot get on top of things.

We trust that youalso noticed the Peer Santa Day that was organised as a surprise. Along with the Peers, the staff of the Hungarian Admissions and Student Service Office created the opportunity to meet in person before the exam period, on December 6. Peers did not only hand out candy and tangerines, but asked them how they felt, and reminded them that they are available to help even in the exam period.

The Peers are ready to give support and advice for everyone who needs help in the coming weeks to!
